Relocation of the Institute

The Institute has now moved to temporary premises in the North Block of Senate House and Russell Square, during major rewiring work in the South Block of Senate House .

The main offices and administrative staff are now located at

• Room NG18, Ground Floor, North Block, Senate House, Malet Street

Professor Warwick Gould, Professor Simon Eliot and Dr Wim van Mierlo are located at

• 28 Russell Square

All staff email addresses and telephone numbers remain the same.

Details about the Relocation

During this academic session (2005-6) the Institute will be affected by emergency repair work (including rewiring and asbestos removal) to the South Block of the Senate House building. This essential work will unfortunately require the entire building to be evacuated for several months.

It means that the Institute will have to be temporarily relocated in the North Block of Senate House, as well as to some offices in Russell Square. The move took place in late December 2005, and the return to the South Block is scheduled for the summer vacation of 2006.

We wish to reassure users of the Institute that all the usual functions (MA teaching, seminars, lectures, conferences and other events ) will continue to operate normally, albeit in different accommodation (either the North Block or Stewart House).

We must emphasise that the Institute and its staff remain absolutely committed as ever to providing the best possible service to all our users. We shall do everything possible to ensure that disruptions of any kind are kept to an absolute minimum and would like to thank you for your understanding of the situation.
