CMPS Courses and Events

The Centre for Manuscript and Print Studies arranges numerous events, from conferences, symposia and lectures, including the annual Palaeography Lecture, to seminars and courses, including the annual Palaeography Summer School and the London Rare Books School, whose inaugural session ran during 23-26 July 2007.

In January 2008 the Centre launches a series of lunchtime seminars, and in September 2008 hosted the XVIth Colloquium of the Comité International de Paléographie Latine: "Teaching Writing, Learning to Write".

Most of our events take place at the Institute of English Studies, and some are hosted by our partner institutions or other Institutes of the School of Advanced Study.

We also list on our website a selection of events happening elsewhere in the subjects of manuscript and print studies, palaeography, book history and book trade, bibliography, and other related areas.
