About the speaker:
Claire Connolly is Professor of Modern English, University College Cork. She is a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales, a Member of the Royal Irish Academy and a Corresponding Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. She is a member of the Editorial Board for Cambridge Studies in Romanticism and currently serves as Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Secretary for the Royal Irish Academy.
