The fee for the London International Palaeography School 2025, includes the provision of documentary material and refreshments.

Bursaries 2025
We are pleased to offer a limited number of bursaries for attendance at the IES London International Palaeography School. We are grateful for the support of the Bibliographical Society, who have kindly provided funds for these bursaries.
- Bursaries will be offered for a fee reduction.
- Applications will be judged on the basis of financial need, as well as benefit to the applicant. We will use your ‘Statement of Motivation’ and ‘Statement of Need’ to help us make the awards.
- Decisions will be made by senior academic staff in the IES.
- You are usually expected to write a short blog after attending LIPS about your experience.

Applications should be submitted by 4 April 2025, and you will be notified of the outcome by the end of April 2025.
Payment
The University accepts Visa/Mastercard/Maestro/Solo (UK only)/Visa Debit. No other credit cards (e.g. American Express) can be accepted.

Applications
An application to the London International Palaeography School reserves a spot on your chosen course. If your application is not successful, the Summer School Administrator will initiate a full refund and will contact you via email to confirm that the reimbursement process has begun. Refunds may take up to three weeks, but are generally processed within two weeks.
If your chosen course is fully booked, please email the IES Events Office to be placed on the waiting list. If a place becomes available, you will be notified by email and asked to complete payment within 30 days.
