The Institute of English Studies welcomes applications from the Newton Fellowship scheme, and applications for its own IES Fellowship scheme.
The Newton International Fellowships enable researchers to work for two years at a UK institution with the aim of fostering long-term international collaborations. The Scheme aims to attract the most promising early career postdoctoral researchers from overseas in the fields of natural sciences, physical sciences, medical sciences, social sciences and the humanities. The Newton International Fellowships Scheme is delivered by the British Academy, Academy of Medical Sciences, and the Royal Society. For more information on how to apply to the scheme please see here
Each year, the IES also accepts applications onto its own Fellowship scheme. This year, applications from early career researchers are particularly encouraged. The Institute will provide the use of shared office space, access to Senate House Library, an email account, free attendance at Institute events such as conferences, seminars and workshops (summer school places at reduced cost), and access to a fund for travel/research expenses. Applications are now open (for the month of February). Please visit our Fellowships page for information on how to apply.
