I worked for about 5 years at each of the Bodleian and British Libraries, mainly cataloguing illuminated manuscripts, before going freelance in 2006.

Since then I have offered or contributed to LIPS Summer Schools courses on Provenance, Cataloguing, or Codicology every year since 2009, and have published collection catalogues, facsimile commentaries, academic articles and reviews, and more than 450 blog posts at mssprovenance.blogspot.com.
