Laura's research focuses on medieval illuminated manuscripts of the twelfth and thirteenth century, particularly those made in France and England. She is also interested in the trade in pre-modern books in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and how this impacted the formation of libraries and the development of scholarship. In 2023-2025 she is part of a team working on a digital edition of Peter of Poitiers Compendium of biblical history. She teaches on the MA in Book History and for the summer school course Introduction to Palaeography and Manuscript Studies.
