Research training for MPhil/PhD Students

IES research students are able to access a wide range of research training opportunities, run both through the School of Advanced Studies, and the Bloomsbury Postgraduate Skills Network.

The BPSN enables IES students to attend training events hosted by UCL, Kings College London and Birkbeck amongst others. Not only does this promote intercollegiate networks, but students can draw on a vast range of expertise from specialist institutions. The courses on offer can be discipline specific, provide more general information on academic careers, or investigate certain aspects of the research process such as research ethics, academic writing and time management.
