About Our Events
The Institute of English Studies runs an active programme of lectures, seminars, conferences, symposia, reading groups and summer schools.
We organise and host both internal and external events within Senate House and across the UK, and act as a hub for many intercollegiate events across the University of London member institutions. As well as our connections with universities across London and beyond we are also affiliated with many organisations connected to the rare book trade, book history, and the study of English in higher education, as well as museums, libraries, and archives.
Events at the IES follow our mission and strategy and we strive for all our events to uphold our core values.
